Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Instructions For Authors:

  1. Submission of an article implies that the research paper has not been published previously or it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. The article should be well-written in a good English or Arabic language.
  3. The managing editor should be received a declaration stamped by the affiliation of the author(s) mentioned that the article is free of plagiarism.
  4. The author(s) is requested to fill an application regarding the information of the author(s).
  5. The managing editor should receive FOUR copies.One of them includes, for each author, author's name, affiliation and email address and the remaining copies are blinded copies. A softcopy of the paper is also required.
  6. The paper should be written in A4 using Microsoft word 2007 with the following features:
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font size: 16 pt for title,14 pt for Author's name, affiliation,Email font size and 12 pt for the text.
  • Margins: 2.5cm from each side.

Note: The journal also accepts articles written in LATEX.

  1. The paper must be arranged as in the following form:
  • Title: Title of the paper should concise and informative. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible.
  • Author names, affiliations and Email address of each author.
  • Abstract. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results and major conclusions. References should be avoided, but if essential, then cite the author(s) and year(s) also, non-standard or uncommon abbreviations. It must be at most 200 words.
  • Keywords. Immediately after the abstract, provide a minimum of 3 keywords.

 Paper structure. Your article should be divided into numbered sections, subsections (should be numbered as 1.1) and subsubsections (should be numbered as 1.1.2). Each heading should appear on its own separate line.

Equations should be numbered sequentially according to their appearance in the text.

9.Reference style. Every reference cited in the text should also be presented in the reference list (and vice versa).  Any references cited in the abstract must be given in full. Indicate references by the actual author(s) and year of publication in square brackets in line with the text. Example: 'Al-Mosawi and Vellaisamy [2010] '.

  1. For a journal publication:
    Al-Mosawi, R. and Vellaisamy, A. (2010). Estimation of the parameters of the selected subset under Stein loss function. Journal of Applied Statistical Science. 17(4), 1-15.
  2. The page limit is 20 pages.
  3. The publications and evaluation fees are (100,000) ID for professor, (75,000) ID for assistant professor and (50,000) ID for others.
  4. All papers are subject to a triple-blinded peer-reviewed process before considered for publication. Three experts in the field of the article who are at least assistant professors will beconfidentially selected for evaluation process. The article will be considered for publication according to the positive reports for at least two of the reviewers.

Note for reviewers: Any comments on the published papers in the previous issues will be welcomed.
