Negative effects of paroxetine and escitalopram on gametogenesis of rats Rattus norvegicus

purpose of this research was to designed to investigate the influence of paroxetine and escitalopram on gametogenesis of rats . The experiment contained three groups (5 females and 5 males), Control group: injection of normal saline, Second group: injection of paroxetine (ten mg/kg ),Third group: injection of escitalopram (twenty mg/kg .Results indicted a significant down in the numbers of (Spermatogonia , Primary spermatocytes and Spermatids) in the injected groups . Results also indicated a significant decrease in the numbers of follicles (Primordial, Primary and Secondary) in the injected groups .
