Conflicts of interest

The corresponding author must disclose all financial and personal affiliations with other authors or organizations that have the potential to improperly affect (bias) the work of the authors of a submission. Potential conflicts of interest include employment, consulting work, stock ownership, honoraria, expert witness fees, patent applications and registrations, donations, and other forms of financial support. All writers, including those with no conflict of interest to disclose, are expected to provide the essential information to the corresponding author (which, if applicable, may state that they have nothing to declare). Then, during the Attach Files step of the submission process, corresponding writers should use this tool to create a shared statement, which they can upload to the system.
