Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

 

The Journal of Education for Pure Science (JEPS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractice. The journal follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines inspired by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original and have not been published previously or are not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.

  • All authors should have significantly contributed to the research.

  • Authors must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest.

  • Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

  • Authors must ensure that all data presented in the manuscript are accurate and real.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the academic merit of the manuscript.

  • Editors evaluate manuscripts without regard to race, gender, or institutional affiliation.

  • Editors must maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

  • Editors must not use unpublished information for their own research.

  • Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased review process.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers assist the editorial board in making publication decisions.

  • Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively.

  • Reviewers should provide constructive feedback.

  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality.

  • Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by the authors.

  • Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest.

Peer Review Process

The journal follows a double-blind peer review process.

  • Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.

  • The editor makes the final decision based on reviewers’ comments.

  • The review process is conducted confidentially and fairly.

Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin).

  • Manuscripts with a high similarity index will be rejected.

  • Proper citation is required for all referenced materials.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the review or publication process.

Ethical Oversight

The journal ensures ethical standards in research involving humans or animals.

  • Authors must provide ethical approval when required.

Authors retain the copyright of their work.

Misconduct Handling

Appropriate actions may include rejection, retraction, or correction of published articles.
