Abstract

. In this paper, we develop an analytical approach for the time-fractional Fornberg–Whitham equation, modeling nonlinear dispersive wave phenomena with fractional-order dynamics. The proposed method employs the NT transform alongside advanced analytical techniques to address both fractional and nonlinear characteristics effectively. We apply the Caputo and Atangana–Baleanu fractional operators to obtain semi-analytical solutions in series form. The results demonstrate high accuracy with reduced computational complexity, highlighting the approach’s suitability for broader engineering and physical applications
